"Library" Explained
The Library is where learners and administrators explore all Kubicle learning content. This article explains how the Library is structured, how to find content quickly, and how courses, projects, and learning paths work in the updated Kubicle interface.
What Is the Library?
The Library is Kubicle’s central catalogue of learning content. From here, users can:
- Browse all available Courses, Projects, and Learning Paths
- Search and filter content by subject or skill
- View course details such as duration, difficulty, and CPE/CPD credits
- Enrol in learning paths or save individual courses
You can access the Library at any time from the left-hand navigation by clicking Library.
Library Views: Courses & Projects vs Paths
At the top of the Library, content is organised into two tabs:
Courses & Projects
This view shows individual learning items, including:
- Courses – structured lessons focused on specific skills or tools
- Projects – applied, hands-on exercises using real-world scenarios
Each item card displays:
- Title and short description
- Content type (Course or Project)
- Estimated time to complete
- CPE/CPD credits (where applicable)
- Difficulty level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
Learners can open a course to view more details or start learning immediately.
Paths
The Paths tab shows curated learning journeys made up of multiple courses and projects.
Each learning path card includes:
- Total duration
- Total CPE/CPD credits
- Overall difficulty level
- Key skill tags
Paths are designed to build skills progressively and are ideal for structured development or certification-style learning.
Searching and Filtering Content
To help you find the right content quickly, the Library includes powerful search and filtering tools.
Search
Use the search bar at the top of the Library to find content by:
- Course or project name
- Topic or keyword
- Skill area (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Python)
Filters
Use the Filter by panel on the left to narrow results by subject, such as:
- Excel
- Data Literacy
- Data Ethics & Risk
- Financial Modelling
- Power BI
You can apply multiple filters at once and reset them at any time.
Viewing a Learning Path
When you open a learning path, you’ll see:
- A full description of the path and who it’s designed for
- Total learning time and CPE/CPD credits
- Difficulty level
- A breakdown of all included courses and projects
From here, learners can:
- Enroll in the path
- View individual courses within the path
Viewing an Individual Course or Project
Selecting a course or project opens a detailed view showing:
- Course description and learning objectives
- Duration and credit value
- Difficulty level
- Where the course sits within a learning path (if applicable)
Learners can:
- Start the course immediately
- Save the course for later
How the Library Fits into Learning Groups
If you are part of a Learning Group:
- Assigned courses and paths will automatically appear in My Semesters
The Library remains fully accessible, allowing learners to explore additional content beyond assigned learning.
